Matic move to Manchester United

Manchester United have officially announced the signing of Nemanja Matic on a three-year deal from Chelsea for a fee reported to be around £40m. The Serbian midfielder has been linked with a move to United for a while now even as they signed high-profile deals with Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku. Matic marks manager Jose Mourinho’s third big signing of the summer with Serge Aurier of PSG likely to be the fourth according to reports in France.

Cahill named new Chelsea Captain

Chelsea have officially appointed Gary Cahill as the new club captain, taking over from long-serving captain John Terry. Cahill will be assisted by Cesar Azpilicueta. Cahill said: 'it’s definitely a proud moment in my career. I’ve had some good moments up until now and this certainly ranks very highly. To be captain of such a huge club like Chelsea is a great personal achievement.’ Cahill is currently with the rest of the team in Singapore, preparing for the friendly match against Inter Milan and on Saturday, which will be the club's last in Asia before returning to London.

Begovic: Mourinho is better than Mourinho

Former Chelsea goalkeeper, Asmir Begovic has suggested that Jose Mourinho is better than Antonio Conte, who was brought in to tidy a club messed up by his predecessor,  Jose Mourinho. Begovic said: "The way Mourinho thinks about the game, the way he works with players was incredible to see," said Begovic in an interview with the Metro. "Obviously, he brought me to Chelsea so I'm grateful to him for that. I was lucky to play under many good managers but I would definitely put him on top of the pile. I learned a lot from him in the short space of time we worked together." "Conte was good. He was very intense, very intense in his work, very driven in his structure and the way of playing," added the goalkeeper. "I think that's what we needed after a year of turmoil. Alvaro Morata officially joins Chelsea

Chelsea FC have officially announced the signing of Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid on a five-year deal from Real Madrid. Morata will now join up with the squad on its pre-season tour of Asia. Chelsea Technical Director, Michael Emenalo hail the fantastic proven striker: ‘We are delighted to complete Alvaro’s signing and welcome him to the club. We believe he can make a great impact for Chelsea and look forward to seeing him in action. ‘Alvaro has proven class at the highest level and his quality will be a huge asset to Antonio and the squad.’

Official: Chelsea reach agreement for Morata

Chelsea Football Club and Real Madrid have agreed terms for the transfer of Alvaro Morata to Stamford Bridge. The move is now subject to him agreeing personal terms and passing a medical. Watford sign Nathaniel Chalobah on a 5-year deal

Nathaniel Chalobah has sealed a permanent return to Watford from Chelsea, the Hornets are delighted to confirm. The England Under-21 international midfielder has signed a five-year deal at Vicarage Road and joins for an undisclosed fee. Chalobah has played 97 times for England at various youth levels, and he was a key part of the Under-21s’ recent run to the semi-final of the European Championships. The 22-year-old excelled during 42 appearances while on loan with the Hornets during the 2012/13 season, scoring five goals. Since then he has spent temporary spells with Nottingham Forest, Middlesbrough, Burnley, Reading and Napoli, before returning to the first-team fold at Stamford Bridge last season. He featured 15 times for Premier League champions Chelsea during 2016/17, making his first league start for the Blues against Watford back in May. Chalobah will wear squad number 14 for the Hornets. Tiemoué Bakayoko to complete Chelsea transfer on Friday

AS Monaco and Chelsea have finally reached agreement over the transfer of defensive midfielder Tiemoué Bakayoko to Stamford Bridge. The deal is reportedly in the region €45m plus bonuses, according to RMC. The player’s brother confirmed the move on his Snapchat account. The 23-year-old is due in London to undergo a medical on Friday. This development could mean that Nemanja Matic could be made available for transfer with Manchester United and Inter Milan leading the chase for his signature.

Chelsea reach agreement with Real Madrid for Danilo

According to reports by esporte.uol and Marca, Chelsea have reached and agreement with Real Madrid for the transfer of Brazilian right-back Danilo. The fee is expected to be between €31-35m if the reports are to be believed. Danilo, who has been playing as backup for Daniel Carvarjal is desperate to move elsewhere to resurrect his career and Stamford Bridge is set to be his next destination after Chelsea beat off competition from Juventus for his services. While negotiations for his personal terms are already underway, Chelsea are confident of sealing the deal before they travel out to far east for preseason next week Tuesday.

Lukaku signs for Manchester United

Manchester United have announced that they have reached an agreement in principle With Everton for the signature of Romelu Lukaku, subject to medical examination. The Reds beat off competition from Chelsea to sign the striker, who is expected to have his medical this morning in United States and could complete his transfer to Old Trafford later today.

It was an amazing night of epic transfer speculation last night after Chelsea were reported to have matched Manchester United's bid of £75m for Romelu Lukaku which Everton had already accepted. Chelsea were not expected to match such bid which could rise to £90m but they did, to the delight of Chelsea fans who really rate their former striker. Few hours later another report emerged that Manchester United have increased their previously accepted bid by another £5m. With Manchester United ready to go extra length to beat Chelsea to the Belgian's signature the Stamford Bridge outfit have decided to switch focus to last summer's target, Alvaro Morata of Real Madrid.
