Chelsea are working on a deal for Schalke 04 Left-back Kolasinac

Image
Chelsea are reportedly working on a deal to sign Schalke 04 left-back Sead Kolasinac according to latest report by Sky Sports. The exciting winger has been previously linked with a move to Juventus, who are waiting for him to become a free agent in the summer to complete a deal. Chelsea now look to be leading the race for his signature. The transfer looks somehow unlikely due long term injury suffered by his deputy at Schalke 04, Baba Rahman who is incidentally on loan from Chelsea. Any possible transfer for the defender could be done in the summer but in football nothing is impossible expecially when Schalke 04 could still make few quid.

Brendan Rodgers: Celtic won't sell Craig Gordon to Chelsea

Image
Celtic boss have categorically stated that Craig Gordon will still be at Parkhead after the transfer window. The Ladbrokes Premiership leaders last week rejected an offer from Chelsea of around £3million for the 34-year-old, with the Hoops boss knowing nothing about a reported second bid from the London club. Rodgers, who insisted Gordon will be in goal for the home game against Aberdeen on Wednesday night, said: "It is worth noting, I have seen one or two comments in terms of how he was treated by me earlier in the season. Him and I have a great relationship. "If treating a player that badly (is) by taking a player out and putting him back, which raises the level of his game, which gives him his first international cap for seven years, if I treated him that badly, I am sure there would be others who would want to be treated like that as well. "So it is no different to what happened to the likes of Stuart Armstrong and Dedryck Boyata. "I am always open ...

Chelsea had reportedly made an earlier bid of £3m for the goalkeeper. Meanwhile, Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is still hopeful of keeping his number one goalkeeper beyond this winter transfer window. Gordon kept a clean sheet as Celtic beat Hearts 4-0 yesterday to create a new record of 27 games unbeaten at the start of a season

AC Milan want Musonda on loan

Image
AC Milan are reportedly exploring ways to take highly rated Chelsea winger, Charly Musonda on loan for the rest of the season. Gazzetta Dello Sport claim a loan deal could be on the cards before the transfer window slams shut. But Chelsea boss Antonio Conte would rather keep hold of the 20-year-old but his absence during Saturday’s FA Cup win over Brentford aroused suspension that the Italian is ready to let Musonda move away on loan one more time. In the last two seasons Musonda played for Real Betis where he made a total of 24 appearances in La Liga.

Liverpool want Mane back for Chelsea

Image
Liverpool forward Sadio Mane could be set for a place in the squad for Tuesday's visit of Premier League leaders Chelsea after Senegal's exit from the African Nations Cup. It is rumoured the club have scheduled a private jet to fly home the player after his country was knocked out by Cameroon in the quarter-finals. Mane missed  the crucial  penalty in a 5-4 shootout defeat and it remains to be seen whether Jurgen Klopp will throw him straight back in but he's more likely to be on the bench after playing full 120 minutes of high intensity football against Cameroon.

Di Matteo hails Diego Costa

Image
Former Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo has hailed the impact of Diego Costa after his impressive goal scoring form this season. The 28-year-old has netted 15 goals in 20 games to seal Chelsea's position at the top of the table. “He’s a handful. He makes life very difficult. Defenders don’t like to play against him,” Di Matteo told Sport360. “He’s very tough. That’s how he plays. He’s very aggressive and he scores lots of goals. I don’t know what the future would be like without him.”

Paul Merson: Eden Hazard is world class not Coutinho

Image
Ex-Arsenal midfielder Merson has rubbished Jurgen Klopp’s claims that Coutinho is a world-class player. “Jurgen Klopp says Coutinho is world class. But he’s not. He’s not a Cristiano Ronaldo. He’s not even an Eden Hazard in my opinion,” Merson told Daily Star. “If he’s on top of his game, and Hazard is too, I know who I’d rather have in my team. “Coutinho is not going to rip it up on his own. How many games has he won for Liverpool this season? “Jamie Carragher has criticised him before for not having enough end product, and he’s right. “Coutinho’s scored five goals in the league. Joe Allen at Stoke has scored as many as that. Leroy Fer at Swansea has scored more. “A lot of his goals are worldies as well. They dry up sooner or later. He needs to find other ways to score.”

Ivanovic to leave Chelsea on a high

Image
Branislav Ivanovic may have played his last game for Chelsea as Chelsea boss Antonio Conte admitted that Ivanovic is the only person who knows what his future will be like. According to Conte "Ivanovic must make the best decision for him. I am  ready to accept whatever that is, as the player deserves much respect" he said Ivanovic came off the bench as a substitute in Chelsea’s 4-0 over Brentford in an FA Cup 4th round tie at Stamford Bridge and scored the third goal, won a penalty for the last goal. It looked a befitting last match for one of the most influential Chelsea players of the past few years.

No loan for Kenedy after FA Cup action

Image
It has now been confirmed that Kenedy will be staying with Chelsea for the rest of the season - thanks to his appearance in the the Blues 4-0 win over Brentford. The same cannot be said about Charly Musonda, who did not even make the match day squad. FIFA rule states that a player cannot play for three teams in a season. Kenedy has played for Watford on loan, now Chelsea which means he won't play for another team this season. This is good news for Chelsea fans who which to see the exciting Brazilian perform at Stamford Bridge.

Match Report: Chelsea 4 - Brentford 0

Smooth passage to the fifth round of the FA Cup was achieved at Stamford Bridge with goals from Willian, Pedro, Branislav Ivanovic and Michy Batshuayi putting pay to local rivals. The Blues were 2-0 up at the break, reward for a first-half of near total domination, and although Brentford rallied in the second period, and forced a save from Asmir Begovic, they were powerless to stop Antonio Conte’s men from taking control again and doubling our tally through substitute Ivanovic and, from the penalty spot, Batshuayi who was given the centre-forward role today. Chelsea set to hijack Juventus bid for promising defender with expiring contract

Image
Juventus’ interest for Schalke04 midfielder Sead Kolasinac come as no surprise as the Old Lady has just sold Patrice Evra to Marseille and Max Allegri needs to add some depth to his defensive department. The talented 23-year-old left-back has less than six months left in his contract with the Bundesliga giants and Juventus have a verbal agreement to sign him in the summer as a free agent. The Serie A giants are also trying to sign Kolasinac in the winter transfer window and have offered Schalke 04 € 5 million to lure the Bosnian defender in January. Trouble is, the other left-back under contract with the Germans (Rahman Baba) has picked up an injury and the Germans have blocked the sale of Kolasinac. The player has a verbal agreement but has not signed a pre-contract agreement which means his summer move to Juventus is far from being a done deal. Chelsea’s interest in Kolasinac has made a possible agreement between the two parties even more complicated as the Blues have ta...

Image
Coutinho  Liverpool star Phillipe Coutinho shocked football fans after naming Chelsea stars Eden Hazard and fellow Brazilian Willian as players he likes to watch as Liverpool prepare to hunt down Chelsea at the top of the English Premier League. The playmaker stated this in a recent interview “We had a setback against Swansea and Chelsea are a good team. I like Eden Hazard and Willian, they are the hardest opponents, but that is the ambition of our club too. We have to fight for the best, compete and continue to compete. Not many will argue with his choice as both Drogba and Terry remain top of the list of the greatest players ever to wear Chelsea’s blue shirt.

Lampard backs Conte to take Chelsea to League glory

Image
Chelsea legend, Frank Lampard doesn't think any team is capable of catching Chelsea, who enjoys 8 points gap from second placed Arsenal. "I can't see anyone catching them," Lampard told Jamie Carragher in an interview for the Daily Mail . "They are the most organised team. Costa and Hazard are the difference. You have got to give the manager a load of credit, too. "They were in a bad place last year. I went back and got treatment for a week last season when I was injured. The dressing room felt terrible. The former England star said Conte was exactly what Chelsea needed (Photo: Action Images via Reuters) "Guus Hiddink was there, they were 12th in the league. People were injured, they weren't playing well and you could smell it wasn't right. They needed to change the whole mentality. "Conte has done that without changing too much in terms of players. He made a few additions and Kante has been fantastic, but Conte was exactly what t...

Celtic won't sell Gordon to Chelsea - Rodgers

Image
Brendan Rodgers confirmed Celtic have received an offer from Chelsea for Craig Gordon but remains adamant that his keeper is not for sale. The Stamford Bridge club are looking to line up a replacement should Asmir Begovic, number two to Thibaut Courtois , move to Bournemouth. Chelsea reportedly bid around £3million for the 34-year-old Scotland keeper but speaking at Celtic’s Lennoxtown training complex, Rodgers said: “There has been an offer but nothing that we would (make us) even think about moving him. “He is a player very much part of what we want to do. “He has 18 months left on his contract and I want to keep him here to build a team around. “We have no interest in selling him. “When the club spoke to me about it, my message was very simple. He is not a player we want to sell.” Rodgers believes that the former Sunderland keeper will remember that Celtic helped resurrect his career in 2014, when then manager Ronny Deila signed him after he had been out for two year...
