Lampard backs Conte to take Chelsea to League glory

Chelsea legend, Frank Lampard doesn't think any team is capable of catching Chelsea, who enjoys 8 points gap from second placed Arsenal. "I can't see anyone catching them," Lampard told Jamie Carragher in an interview for the Daily Mail . "They are the most organised team. Costa and Hazard are the difference. You have got to give the manager a load of credit, too.

"They were in a bad place last year. I went back and got treatment for a week last season when I was injured. The dressing room felt terrible.

"Guus Hiddink was there, they were 12th in the league. People were injured, they weren't playing well and you could smell it wasn't right. They needed to change the whole mentality.

"Conte has done that without changing too much in terms of players. He made a few additions and Kante has been fantastic, but Conte was exactly what they needed. They all look fit, lean and know their jobs. They are flying."

Chelsea agree fee with Atletico Madrid for Costa

Chelsea Football Club this afternoon announced that they have agreed a deal with Spanish La Liga side Atletico Madrid subject to the agreement of personal terms and a medical. Chelsea bought Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid for £32m and it's believed that Costa will cost his former club £18m more than they sold him three years ago. A Chelsea statement read: "Chelsea Football Club has today agreed terms with Atletico Madrid for the transfer of Diego Costa. "The transfer will be subject to the agreement of personal terms and a medical." Atletico said: "Atletico de Madrid and Chelsea have reached an initial agreement for the transfer of Diego Costa. "The agreement is pending the formalisation of the contract between our club and the Spanish international forward.
