Cahill: We breathe winning mentality from top to bottom at Chelsea

Chelsea stand-in Skipper Gary Cahill says that the winning mentality that exist abundantly at Chelsea makes the club attractive and helps to lure some of the best players in world football to SW6.

Cahill told Standard Sports: "Since I have been here I have won six medals in five years and I can't think of anyone who wouldn't want to join Chelsea.

"I have been involved in semi-finals and finals of cup competitions and won League titles - there is no reason I can think of why someone wouldn't want to be here.

"We breathe that winning mentality from top to bottom. Just look at the youth system. The Under-18s won the FA Youth Cup for a fourth straight year.

"They breed win, win, win here. It's a great habit to get into. Ultimately I look at my Chelsea career since I stepped though the door and it's been a total success.

"I look at the size of the club, the fanbase the calibre of players that come in, it's got everything going for it.

"But when you win competitions, lift the League trophy like we did this season, it backs up everything this club is about. It proves we are the best team and obviously that will attract players."
