Chelsea win EPL and Conte thinks it's deserved

Chelsea were finally crowned the English Premier League Champions after a hard-fought 1-0 win over West Brom. Mitchy Batshuayi came off the bench to convert the only goal of the match is to and hand Chelsea their second Premier League title in three years.

The man behind the evolution of the team that finished 10th last season, Antonio Conte believes that his boys are worthy winners of the Premier League title.


Conte told Sky Sports: “I think this achievement is a great achievement for the players, for my players.

“And I have to tell thanks for their commitment for their work-rate. This season they show me great attitude, great patience, great will, great desire to try to do something great in this season.

“And now after this win we must be happy. We must be pleased for all this season.

“We were not lucky, we did a great job. It’s important to rest. It is a great season but now we can win the FA Cup.

“Every game I feel like I have played with my players! I show my passion and my will, my desire to stay with my players in every moment of the game. This is me, I am this.

“In the present, in the past, I stay with my players in positive and negative situations. We won this title together.”

Chelsea agree fee with Atletico Madrid for Costa

Chelsea Football Club this afternoon announced that they have agreed a deal with Spanish La Liga side Atletico Madrid subject to the agreement of personal terms and a medical. Chelsea bought Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid for £32m and it's believed that Costa will cost his former club £18m more than they sold him three years ago. A Chelsea statement read: "Chelsea Football Club has today agreed terms with Atletico Madrid for the transfer of Diego Costa. "The transfer will be subject to the agreement of personal terms and a medical." Atletico said: "Atletico de Madrid and Chelsea have reached an initial agreement for the transfer of Diego Costa.
