BREAKING: Conte agrees Chelsea contract extension

According to TuttoMercatoWeb in Italy, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has reached an agreement with Chelsea to extend his deal until the end of June 2020, with his current contract supposed to finish in 2019.

Conte took charge of Chelsea from caretaker boss, Guus Hiddink and has gone from strength to strength. This season Conte’s Chelsea are 8 points above 2nd placed team, Manchester City at the top of the English Premier League and are also in the quarter-finals of the FA CUP where the will face Jose Mourinho's Manchester United. With the pace Conte is moving, there will be little doubt that he could surpass the achievements of the self proclaimed special one, Jose Mourinho at Chelsea.

Assuming that the reported extension of his contract by a further year is true, it will no doubt be a huge news and a welcome development as success continues to befriend Chelsea fans at SW6.

Chelsea agree fee with Atletico Madrid for Costa

Chelsea Football Club this afternoon announced that they have agreed a deal with Spanish La Liga side Atletico Madrid subject to the agreement of personal terms and a medical. Chelsea bought Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid for £32m and it's believed that Costa will cost his former club £18m more than they sold him three years ago. A Chelsea statement read: "Chelsea Football Club has today agreed terms with Atletico Madrid for the transfer of Diego Costa. "The transfer will be subject to the agreement of personal terms and a medical." Atletico said: "Atletico de Madrid and Chelsea have reached an initial agreement for the transfer of Diego Costa. "The agreement is pending the formalisation of the contract between our club and the Spanish international forward.
