Conte reveals his secret to success

As Chelsea prepare to play Swansea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte took time to chat with Chelsea Pitch Owners, the company with the freehold of the land on which Stamford Bridge stands. Conte basically revealed one of the main reasons for Chelsea's successful campaign so far.

Conte said: 'I think to win, not only one game, but to win… not one [battle] but the whole war it is important to create a good spirit,' he said. 'To create a team, and to try to exploit every single player, the talent of every single player in the best way.

'And for this reason to find the right solution, the right system, to create a family spirit, a good spirit. And then in the negative moments it's important to have a family. If you have a family, you solve the situation and then can go forward. I think this is very important to win the league: to create a team, to create a good spirit with your team, and for sure to have good players.'

Chelsea agree fee with Atletico Madrid for Costa

Chelsea Football Club this afternoon announced that they have agreed a deal with Spanish La Liga side Atletico Madrid subject to the agreement of personal terms and a medical. Chelsea bought Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid for £32m and it's believed that Costa will cost his former club £18m more than they sold him three years ago. A Chelsea statement read: "Chelsea Football Club has today agreed terms with Atletico Madrid for the transfer of Diego Costa. "The transfer will be subject to the agreement of personal terms and a medical." Atletico said: "Atletico de Madrid and Chelsea have reached an initial agreement for the transfer of Diego Costa. "The agreement is pending the formalisation of the contract between our club and the Spanish international forward.
